Shooting The Star team believes that astronomy has the power to inspire and move individuals from all walks of life. The adventure began when we made the decision to lose ourselves in the exploration of lunar phases, which provided perfect peace, in order to escape the insane phase that was present at the time, which took place during the COVID lockdown back in 2020. This developed into a tool to assist individuals in adjusting to spending more time indoors.
The K-SON 80-mm Aperture 720-mm Focal Length Refractor Telescope with AZ mount is a perfect instrument for beginners or casual star-gazers. It has a fully adjustable, pre-assembled metal tripod and an accessory tray with slots to place four eyepieces or lenses.
The K-SON 80-720 mm uses an 80-mm two-element achromat fully multi-coated air-spaced objective lens. The optical tube assembly has a 720-mm focal length and the tube itself is Aluminium, painted flat black internally for excellent visual. It includes 1¼” 10-mm, a 1¼” 25-mm Astroscopic Eyepiece, and a 3x Astroscopic Barlow.
In light of the response we received, to disseminate knowledge and inspiration, we decided to create this platform for all the astronomy enthusiasts looking beyond the lives we lead now.
Our intention? Is simply to gaze upon the inherent beauty of which we are all made, which is beyond anything we could comprehend.
We are on our way to setting up everything so we can investigate and go deeper into the endless space. We are establishing this website with information on astronomy events, astrophotography, and entertainment.

“Curiosity is the essence of our existence.”
“Remember to look up at the stars and now down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious.
And however difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at.
It matters that you don’t just give up.”
– Professor Stephen Hawking
